Pearl: Sharing a deep connection with the moon for its resemblance with the soft glow look, the pearl symbolizes a number of interesting virtues like wisdom, charity, purity, loyalty of those individuals born in the month of June. As a gemstone, pearl is organic in nature and is formed in certain living sea creatures (mollusk shells). Their lovely natural shine and translucence and their availability in a variety of colors like cream, silver, white, lavender, black, green, etc. make them a favored choice of many. It was discovered during the reign of Czar Alexander II and thus, the name Alexandrite. Its uniqueness lies in its ability to change color. It becomes a lovely green in broad daylight or even in fluorescent light but changes its color to purplish red or brownish in incandescent light like light from a candle flame or a lamp. This phenomenon is often described as: “Emerald by day, Ruby by night” and is referred to as the “Alexandrite effect.”
Alexandrite is said to bring good omens and good luck and is also believed to strengthen the intuitive and creative power of the wearer. They are said to increase the intuitive power to such an extent that one can also predict an event.
